Astana:The people of Kazakhstan always such qualities as consent and good relations with each other. We have a common history and values; most importantly, our wealth is our unity. We need to keep peace and tranquility in our country .
Speaking to a group of visiting journalists, Sherzod Pulatov, the Chair of the Uzbek ethnocultural center in the capital, said that the Kazakh people have shown cohesiveness, solidarity, and compassion for those in need due to their focus on ethnic unity under tough circumstances. “Every ethnic group in the Republic of Kazakhstan is an essential component of its people. Some sources claim that residents of our nation are drawn from at least 130 different ethnic groups, making it a multicultural nation. Every city and area in the nation has 42 ethno-cultural organizations”, he said.
In Kazakhstan, there are over a thousand distinct ethno-cultural groups that are all connected by the Assembly, which serves as a coordinating body. Because of the floods and the necessity to save money, the Assembly had its session party online.
Promoting interethnic harmony is one way to go since, against popular belief, Kazakhstan is a mosaic of ethnic groups that includes, in addition to 70% of Kazakhs, Germans, Koreans, Russians, Uzbeks, and Kyrgyz people.
