Spokesman Report

Islamabad :Maroof International Hospital held its Annual Staff Fest, a celebration dedicated to recognizing the hard work and commitment of its employees. The event was graced by the esteemed Iranian Ambassador, H.E. Reza Amiri Mughaddam, who praised Maroof’s leadership for this motivating initiative. “Events like these not only boost morale but also reinforce the strong team spirit that is vital for any successful organization,” he remarked, commending the hospital for its supportive and uplifting work environment.

In his address, the Iranian Ambassador highlighted the strong historical ties between Iran and Pakistan, referencing the scientific and medical advancements made by both countries, particularly after the Islamic Revolution in Iran. He expressed Iran’s readiness to expand scientific exchange and collaboration with Pakistan and discussed the potential for developing medical tourism between the two nations.

The event featured an exciting lucky draw with exceptional prizes, including an Umrah package as the grand prize, a laptop for second place, and an LED TV for the third prize, bringing joy and excitement to all participants.

Mr. Haroon Naseer, CEO of MIHl, and the Ambassador discussed potential collaboration in various medical fields, including research, surgery, and liver transplantation. The Ambassador was also briefed on the ongoing projects and facilities available at the hospital. Mr. Naseer took the opportunity to address a pressing issue in the healthcare sector: the global shortage of nurses. “In Pakistan, the nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:40, significantly higher than the recommended 3:10 ratio. This shortage places immense pressure on the healthcare system. At Maroof, we are dedicated to addressing this issue by investing in the training and development of our nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care,” he explained.

Fahad Hafeez, the Senior HR Manager, added to the excitement by announcing that the Annual Staff Fest will now be an ongoing tradition. “We are pleased by the success of this event and are excited to make it a permanent annual celebration for our staff. It’s a way for us to show our appreciation for their dedication and hard work,” he said.

The event received widespread national and international media coverage, showcasing Maroof International Hospital’s commitment to fostering a positive and rewarding workplace culture. This initiative reflects Maroof’s broader mission of excellence in healthcare, coupled with a deep focus on the well-being of its team.
