Tashkent, Uzbekistan – On 2 December, the fifth meeting of the Association of High and New Technologies Zones “Silk Road” was held with the cooperation of the Association itself, the cluster company “Bukhara Cotton Textile” and “Tashkent Cotton Textile” and the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Lightweight industry with the support of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.
The meeting was attended by authorized representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the companies of the Bukhara Cotton Textile and Tashkent Cotton Textile clusters, the Uztextilprom Association, representatives of research organizations and enterprises of Uzbekistan, as well as the Yashnobod Innovation Technopark. From the Chinese side, the event was attended by the leaders of the High-tech Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the PRC, the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province, representatives of the Chinese members of the Association.
As part of the 5th meeting, the Silk Road Association of High and New Technologies Zones awarded a certificate of full membership to the Yashnabad Innovation Technopark under the Ministry of Innovative Development.
It should be noted that in 2019, during the working visit of the Minister of Innovative Development to the People’s Republic of China, an agreement was reached on full membership in the Association of High and New Technologies Regions of the Yashnobod Innovative Technopark.
The Silk Road Association of High and New Technologies Zones is an international association of organizations from countries and regions participating in the projects of the One Belt and One Road plan.
The Association includes the high-tech zones of the PRC, scientific research, scientific and technological institutions and organizations, as well as enterprises developing innovative technologies. Among the main goals of the Association are the promotion of international scientific and technical cooperation and effective communication, the implementation of joint international projects.
