By :-Dr. Faheem Yar Khan

My name is Dr. Faheem YarKhuhawar, and I am working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Telecommunication at Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan. My expertise are in the field of communication and computer networks within the realm of ICT. Back in 2017, I attended a short ICT training organized by Huawei to prepare instructors for the ICT Academy to be established at various universities in Pakistan.

Since then, I have been providing training to undergraduate and graduate students to obtain Huawei’s Certification in Routing and Switching / Datacom Track.

In 2019, 2020, and 2021, Pakistani students reached the Middle-East and Global Finals and secured top positions in the competition. Most recently, Pakistani students achieved second and third positions in Huawei’s ICT Competition 2022 – Middle East and Global Finals, which concluded in May 2023.

I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to Huawei for organizing and managing the Huawei ICT Skill Competition with such excellence.

I highly appreciate Huawei for introducing this ICT competition to promote the ICT Talent Eco System, and I feel honored to be part of it.

The competition has truly served as an exceptional platform for students globally, nurturing talent, and providing a positive ICT experience. Huawei’s meticulous planning and dedicated efforts have ensured a remarkable competition, offering incentives, diverse training opportunities, and exceptional facilities. The warm hospitality extended throughout the competition has created an encouraging environment that motivates participants to strive for greatness. The Huawei ICT Skill Competition serves as a testament to Huawei’s steadfast dedication to promoting excellence in ICT. It highlights the vast potential of aspiring students, offering them invaluable experience, opportunities for knowledge expansion, and a platform to foster innovation. This competition serves as a catalyst for inspiring and empowering future industry leaders, reflecting Huawei’s unwavering commitment to the advancement of ICT and the nurturing of talent.

I highly appreciate and am thankful to Huawei for the continuous support throughout this journey of achieving the height of success. I would like to extend a special acknowledgment and appreciation to Ms. Fatima, Mr. Farooq, and Mr. Hamza for their wonderful coordination and management of Huawei’s ICT Competition every year. Their cooperative gestures and professionalism in resolving issues that ICT academy instructors/students face from all over Pakistan are worth mentioning. Their tireless efforts and dedication have contributed to the success of Huawei’s ICT competition throughout these years.

Wishing Huawei continued success in the years to come.
