Hanif Jewellery & Watches opens in Super MarketIslamabad : Pakistan’s iconic name in business of jewelery and watches Hanif Jewellery & Watches launched its flagship store in F-6 (Super Market) on Sunday promising the residents of Islamabad not only rare and unique items of international brands but also individual care and service to each customer.

Former Prime Minister Senator Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, Senator Talha Mehmood, senior members of the Islamabad Chamber business community of the twin cities attended the launch of the Hanif Jewellery & Watches and congratulated its founder Muhammad Hanif who founded the business in 1978 some 43 years ago.

Who else could be a more befitting Chief Guest on the occasion than Ambassador of Switzerland Benedict de Cerjat when so many unique Swiss watches were on display.

The ambassador in his brief address congratulated Muhammad Hanif and sons for opening a flagship store in Islamabad.

Switzerland he said was famous for cheese, beautiful landscape and watches. In fact the country has been a market leader in watch industry for the last three centuries.

Last year despite pandemic, our watch industry registered 4 pc growth. About Pakistan-Switzerland bilateral cooperation the ambassador said currently around 30 Swiss companies are doing business here and roughly their total investment in Pakistan is around US$1 billion.

He expressed his heart-felt congratulations to M Hanif and his four sons for earning a good well-reputed name in watch and jewellery business.

While talking to Pakistan Observer, Chairman of Hanif Jewellery & Watches. Muhammad Hanif said in Islamabad though it was the first store in a market, yet, earlier “we had outlets in Serena Hotel & Marriott.”

In Lahore, Hanif Jewellery & Watches is a well-known name and a market leader and its stores on MM Alam Road and in DHA are doing throbbing business.

I began my business in Muscat (Oman) back in 1978 with a small workshop, said Muhammad Hanif. Gradually the business grew and he shifted it to Pakistan in 2004.

Throughout my life, I followed principles of honesty, fairness and our customers feel themselves quite at home with us, he said adding one of his four sons Zeshan will look after the Islamabad’s store, he said.

The event featured a galaxy of showbiz and sports stars including Adnan Siddiqui, Ali Rehman, Yasir Hussain, Iqra Aziz, Imran Nazir, Sohail Tanveer, Imad Wasim and others.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pakistan, Sakib Foric also attended the event along with spouse.
