Tashkent :Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health was established in 1991 as a “Medical Center” at Fergana State University. By the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 3, 1998, No. 239, the “Medical Center” was transformed into Fergana branch of the Tashkent State the second Medical Institute and by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 29, 2005, No. 780, it was transformed into the Fergana branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. . At that time, the branch had 2 faculties: Preventive Medicine and Higher Nursing.
In order to train qualified personnel with higher education, highly qualified in the areas of health care, sanitary and epidemiological well-being and public health, to further improve the system of professional development of workers, to provide medical organizations with competent specialists, including primary health care institutions by decree of the President of the Republic Uzbekistan No. PP-4911 dated December 3, 2020 Fergana Medical Institute of Public Health was established.
Today, the Institute employs 147 professors and teachers in 19 departments, of which 12 are doctors of sciences, professors, 51 candidates of sciences, associate professors, the scientific potential is 43%.
At the same time, our institute provides students with many opportunities, all the necessary conditions for study and, most importantly, necessary environment for you to grow as a professional. We whole-heartedly invite young people with high interest and potential to medicine in our circle.
Students study at the institute at the following faculties:
- General Medicine (MD/MBBS)
- Preventive medicine
- Higher nursing
- Traditional medicine
- Biomedical Engineering
- Professional education (General medicine)
In addition, on the basis of joint educational programs with the Kuban State Medical University (Russian Federation), the following areas have been created:
- General Medicine
- Dentistry
And also with Kursk State Medical University:
- Pediatrics
- Pharmacy
More than 150 students from foreign countries (Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Afghanistan, Nigeria ) study at the institute.
