Faysal Bank Promotes Inclusivity - Brings Special Olympics Pakistan Athletes to National Cycling EventIslamabad: Faysal Islami which is one of the leading Islamic Banks in the country has always demonstrated its unrelenting enthusiasm for the promotion of healthy sporting activities in Pakistan combined with a vision to support the cause of the less fortunate. Towards this endeavor, the Bank sponsored the 5 th Faysal Islami National Road Cycling Championship 2020 held at Seaview, Karachi.

 In line with Faysal Islami’s values of promoting Inclusiveness for All & Care for those with mental disabilities, and in association with the organizers Sports in Pakistan, the Bank created a separate segment during the National Cycling Championships event where specially-abled cyclists of Special Olympics Pakistan could participate.

To display their support, a number of Faysal Bank employees attended the event in great numbers. Speaking at the event, Yousaf Hussain, President & CEO of Faysal Bank said, “Health, diversity, and social inclusion are at the heart of Faysal Bank’s social responsibility mission. It gives us immense pleasure to be able to organize this cycling event for the promotion of healthier lifestyle. Through the inclusion of athletes from Special Olympics to this national event we have been able to create an inclusive environment that uplifts everyone regardless of their age, religion, gender or disability.”

Representing Special Olympics Pakistan, Mrs. Ronak Lakhani spoke on the occasion and said, “In these difficult pandemic times, it is heartening to see that organizations are promoting healthy sporting activities in Pakistan. I am particularly thankful to the management at Faysal Islami because they believe in the cause of Inclusiveness for All and invited specially-abled athletes of the Special Olympics Pakistan to participate in this national event also.”
