Islamabad: Former President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Dr. Shahid Rasheed Butt on Monday said a conspiracy has been hatched for a clash between people from different provinces.
A clash between the people and the institutions is also part of the plan as a fake messiah has become a big threat to the country, he said.
Shahid Rasheed Butt said that destroying the economy is part of the plan so that the country sinks. He called upon the patriotic elements to reject the politics of hate.
He said that some individuals are putting their interests before the interests of the state which cannot be allowed.
The entire country cannot be subjected to the illegitimate whims of an individual who has lost balance, he added.
Both sides of the national political divide should rethink their positions and join hands to fight challenges, both internal and external, confronting the country otherwise the cost of confrontation will destroy the economy.
PTI should return to parliament and fight the government on its floor which will strengthen democracy.
The government should undertake tangible steps for the actualization of its call for a grand dialogue the prime minister has been talking about for quite some time.
He said that the country cannot develop without having strong links with the regional countries. Pakistan will have to forge better ties with Iran, Afghanistan and India for rapid economic development.
India needs gas from Iran and Turkmenistan through Pakistan which can prove to be a good confidence-building measure.
He said that the former government sabotaged the visit of the Prime Minister of neighboring India, who should be invited again so that the process of normalizing relations can be started which is necessary for development and poverty alleviation.
Shahid Rashid Butt said that the talk of buying oil from Russia is difficult because there is no such mechanism available to Pakistan which can pay them for oil.
