Islamabad: Drive-through mass vaccination is an efficient method for delivering vaccinations to the masses safely and quickly. WHO representative in Pakistan, Dr Palitha Mahipala along with HEC and Information Minister inaugurated drive through vaccination centre in Khyber medical university. The drive through has been established with WHO support. Drive-through vaccination centre will rapidly scale up COVID-19 response and vaccine uptake due to much higher throughput.
WHO has also supported the complete refurbishment of mass vaccination centre with the provision of digital counters and other necessary equipment. IEC material was also provided by WHO.
WHO has donated ILR to KTH to maintain the desired temperatures and product quality of COVID_19 vaccines. For enhancing COVID-19 vaccines uptake, WHO also provided IEC material to KTH.
WHO has supported the Government for the establishment of1278 COVID vaccination centres across Pakistan.
