London:Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, during his engagements with his Counterparts, UK government officials and ministers, strongly rejected the unfair stigmatisation of the British Pakistani community by certain media outlets.
General Asim Munir expressed his concerns and Said that such misrepresentation does not reflect the values and contributions of the wider British Pakistani diaspora. He fondly conveyed his appreciation for the community, highlighting their significant role in strengthening ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
“The British Pakistani community has made remarkable contributions to the progress and prosperity of both Pakistan and Great Britain,” he stated.
General Munir’s remarks come amid growing concerns over negative media narratives that fail to acknowledge the positive impact of the British Pakistani population in various sectors, including business, politics, healthcare, and education. His statement underscores Pakistan’s commitment to supporting its diaspora and fostering strong bilateral relations with the UK.
