Since October 7, the Israel-Palestine conflict has intensified, causing thousands of civilian deaths and displacing millions. Schools, which should be sanctuaries, have become targets. Since July 4, 21 schools have been attacked, resulting in at least 100 deaths among
civilians. This widespread destruction blatantly violates international humanitarian law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The most vulnerable—children and women—are bearing the brunt of this crisis. Many children have been killed, and thousands more injured, with the health system overwhelmed by the scale of casualties. Despite claims that  these strikes target Hamas, the civilian suffering is undeniable.
A recent tragedy at the al-Tabin School on 7th of August in Gaza City starkly illustrates the crisis. Sheltering over 6,000 displaced individuals, the school was hit by three Israeli
bombs during dawn prayers. This attack resulted in at least 100 deaths and numerous injuries, with survivors enduring severe trauma. Eyewitnesses described scenes of horrific
devastation, with bodies scattered and dismembered.
Immediate action is imperative. We urgently need a ceasefire, international condemnation, and humanitarian aid to protect civilians and uphold human dignity.
Thank you for your time and attention.
