Arman Tynybek, visited the COMSTECH SecretariatNaveed Ahmad Khan

Islamabad:The Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Pakistan, Arman Tynybek, visited the COMSTECH Secretariat and met with Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, Coordinator General COMSTECH. He handed over a “Letter of Appreciation” from Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal, on successfully holding the Global Al-Farabi Forum 2021 at COMSTECH Secretariat in December 2020.

Mr. Tynybek thanked the COMSTECH Secretariat for making arrangements of Al-Farabi Forum. He also discussed the forthcoming 2nd OIC Summit on Science and Technology 2021.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal thanked the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the “Letter of Appreciation” and he briefed the Charge d’Affaires on the ongoing initiatives with Kazakhstan and expressed the hope for future joint projects in the field of science and technology.

Prof. S. Khurshid Hasanain, Adviser, COMSTECH and Ms. Kempirbayeva Dilyara, InCharge of Media Communication, Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan were also present in the meeting.

It is worth mentioning here that the two-day conference was organized jointly by COMSTECH and the Government of Kazakhstan in celebration of the 1150th anniversary of Abu Nasr Al-Farabi, the great Muslim philosopher and scientist who hailed from the land now included in Kazakhstan.

The two-day conference included lectures, both in-person and online, by leading international experts on early Islamic thought, history and philosophy.

The objective of the event was to highlight the great scholarly traditions of Muslims.
