Tashkent, Uzbekistan : In Uzbekistan, 19,944,859 voters were included in the single electronic voter list, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev said.
According to the data provided, 506.8 thousand young people will take part in the elections for the first time.
During the verification of the voter list, which was carried out from house to house, it was established that 832 thousand voters have disabilities, and of these, 105 thousand need assistance to participate in the upcoming elections.
Almost 16,000 volunteers were recruited to help every voter who was unable to vote on their own.
Elections of deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and local Kengashes will be held on October 27 of this year from 8:00 to 20:00.
The voter must present an identification document to a member of the precinct election commission and sign the list of voters. After this, he is given a ballot paper.
If some voters are unable to come to the polling station due to health reasons or other reasons, the relevant precinct election commission may organize voting at the place of residence of these voters at their request.
