ISLAMABAD: Former President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman Pakistan Cultural Forum and Ahsan Bakhtawari former Vice President of ICCI hosted dinner for the High Commissioner of South Africa Mthuthuzeli Madikiza.
The High Commissioner of South Africa shared his vision of taking the bilateral relations further ahead. He mentioned particular areas where both Pakistan and South Africa could strengthen and diversify their engagement.
He told that his country offered a lot of opportunities to businessmen especially from Pakistan adding Pakistan govt’s Look Africa policy has played central role in bridging gaps between Pakistan and the African continent countries.
The high commissioner talked about cricketing ties as well. He said both countries rank prominent among the cricket playing nations. He hoped the PSL matches discontinued due to virus cases, shall soon be resumed.
The envoy also presented a signed bat of South African cricket Team visited pakistan last month to Arham Bakhtawari grand son of Zafar Bakhtawari.
Zafar Bakhtwari thanked the high commissioner for sparing time and sharing his views regarding promotion of bilateral relations. He assured the high commissioner that he would do its best to contribute to further strengthening of Pakistan-South Africa relations.
Arham Bakhtawari also thanked the high commissioner for honouring him and handing over the cricket bat in recognition of his keen interest in cricket and South African cricket team.
