Islamabad: Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan Chairman PARC, while visiting Hayat Model Farms Mandi Bahauddin decided to organize a comprehensive showcase of modern technologies and innovation in agriculture for farmer’s awareness. Dr. Nasir Cheema, Director (Special Initiatives) PARC, Dr. Taj Naseeb Khan, Director (HRI) NARC accompanied Chairman PARC on the occasion of this visit. The guests were warmly received by Chief Executive Hayat Model Farms Chaudhry Shafaat Hussain.

Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan expressed on the occasion that agriculture is the backbone of the country’s development and prosperity and announced to launch demonstration of modern technology projects for farmers of the area in association with Hayat Model Farm. Talking to Chief Executive of Hayat Model Farms, the Chairman praised the excellent running of the farm and said that PARC would also showcase its new technologies at Hayat Farms which will be a beacon for farmers in the area. A modern Kinnow / Citrus Genetic Unit (GPU) will be established on the farm as well, this GPU will provide the best quality Kinnow / Citrus plants to the farmers of the area as Mandi Bahauddin is famous for Kinnow in the Whole World. A modern style goat farm will be established for the best meat supply to the Local communities.

Chairman PARC further said that in order to supply high quality seeds to the farmers, a new technology Aeroponic which has been imported from Korea will be established through public-private partnership. In addition, the people of the area will be encouraged to increase fish production through cage culture.
