CHARSADDA: Bacha Khan University Charsadda has acquired mutation papers of 780 Kanals of land which was purchased for construction of new campus in 2012.After taking the charge as Vice Chancellor, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad immediately started workon taking possession of the land. He called on the Deputy Commissioner and DPO of Charsadda and requested them to play their due role to hand over the mutation documents of the land.
The Vice Chancellor constituted a committee for the purpose headed by Registrar Syed Arif Hussain Shah. Treasurer DrZahoorulHaq, Deputy Director Audit Azam Khan, Assistant Registrar Legal Ashfaq Khan and Procurement Officer Ishteyaq Ahmad were members of the committee.
On Thursday, the committee members handed over the mutation documents to the Vice Chancellor Meritorious Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad.
The Vice Chancellor thanked the Deputy Commissioner Charsadda Syed Adeel Shah for handing over all the relevant documents to the University administration in a short span of time, adding that the Deputy Commissioner has performed his duty as a dutiful officer and is to be commended as the present land was purchased in 2012, however, the university administration had no possession of it till date.
The Vice Chancellor said that the land’s ownership documents are now available and it has legally been taken over so the work on construction of a new campus on it would begin soon. He also directed the Registrar to send the commendation letters to the DC and his staffas acknowledgement of their services.
It is pertinent to mentionhere that after taking the charge as Vice Chancellor of Bacha Khan University Charsadda a month ago, all out efforts have been initiated by Meritorious Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad to safeguard the University interests.
