London: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) UK Central Vice President, Shafaqat Ali Sindhu, has reiterated his lifelong dedication to the party, declaring himself a “born and ideological supporter” of PML-N. In his first interview after assuming office, he spoke with Daily The Spokesman’s UK and Europe Bureau Chief, Chaudhry Tabraiz Aurah, highlighting his commitment to strengthening the party’s presence in the UK and addressing the concerns of Overseas Pakistanis.

Mr Sindhu, a native of Kasur, a stronghold of PML-N, emphasized the party’s continued dominance in the region. Acknowledging Pakistan’s current challenges, he expressed confidence that the country is on the path to recovery under PML-N’s leadership.

As a Solicitor/Advocate with extensive experience in both Pakistan and the UK, Sindhu shed light on the legal hurdles faced by Overseas Pakistanis. He particularly pointed out issues related to family disputes, human rights, and property conflicts, which frequently become entangled in legal battles.

“I have accepted this position as a challenge to help Overseas Pakistanis. Being well-versed in the laws of both countries, I will work closely with PML-N’s local leadership to address these issues effectively,” Sindhu stated.

He also highlighted the growing influence of PML-N in the UK, asserting that under the leadership of Ahsan Dar, the party has strengthened its foothold among the Pakistani diaspora. Sindhu dismissed the perception that PTI enjoys overwhelming support among Overseas Pakistanis, emphasizing that PML-N’s successful events and mobilization efforts prove otherwise.

As a legal professional and political representative, Sindhu pledged to advocate for the concerns of Overseas Pakistanis before the party’s central leadership, urging for meaningful reforms.

Praising the efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he credited their governance for Pakistan’s economic recovery. He further lauded Mian Nawaz Sharif for his vision, stating that Pakistan is now moving towards stability and prosperity.

Sindhu assured that he remains a dedicated worker of PML-N, committed to serving both the party and the Pakistani community abroad. His appointment as PML-N UK Central Vice President marks a significant step toward a more structured and proactive representation of the party among Pakistanis living overseas.
