Under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab has entered a new era of development and prosperity, with notable initiatives being undertaken for public welfare in all sectors. Special focus has been given to agriculture, introducing numerous programs for the uplift and prosperity of farmers, which have sparked hope for a brighter future for Punjab’s farmers.
In Toba Tek Singh, the launch of the “Kissan Card” is one of the most significant steps taken by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for farmers. A total of 12,229 farmers in the district have been issued Kissan Cards, providing them with interest-free loans and subsidies through a transparent and accessible mechanism. Through this initiative, farmers in Toba Tek Singh have availed interest-free loans amounting to Rs. 703,875,500.
The Livestock Card is another beneficial scheme, offering interest-free loans to livestock farmers for four months. These loans can be utilized to purchase feed, silage, and mineral mixtures. In Toba Tek Singh, 425 livestock farmers are benefiting from this initiative, with 411 cards already distributed. These measures are significantly increasing farmers’ incomes.The “Green Tractors Scheme,” introduced under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is a revolutionary initiative for Punjab’s farmers. Through this scheme, 233 farmers in Toba Tek Singh are being provided with state of the art tractors, of which 115 have already been distributed. The Punjab government is providing a subsidy of Rs. 1 million per tractor, enhancing both agricultural productivity and energy efficiency.
The Agriculture Graduate Internship Program is another significant initiative by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, offering fresh graduates the opportunity to connect with farmers and gain practical training. This program not only educates farmers about modern techniques but also creates job opportunities for young graduates in the agricultural sector. The solarization of tube wells is a vital project for promoting sustainable agriculture in Punjab. This initiative allows farmers to save electricity and achieve sustainable agricultural growth. In Toba Tek Singh, 226 farmers will be provided with solar systems. Similarly, subsidies are being offered for super seeders, which not only help reduce environmental pollution but also increase crop yields. A total of 25 super seeders have been distributed in Toba Tek Singh, significantly benefiting farmers.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is also planning to establish Agriculture Malls in every city, providing farmers with direct access to markets for their crops and produce. This initiative will enable farmers to sell their products at better prices, improving their economic conditions. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Punjab’s farmers are entering a new era where not only is agricultural productivity increasing, but every possible step is being taken to ensure their prosperity. These efforts aim to strengthen Punjab’s economy and empower farmers to build a better future, making them the pride of Toba Tek Singh and Punjab.
