SCO summit to discuss regional peace and security

Tomorrow is new beginning for taking a step towards better future. 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organization(SCO) Summit 2024 with the strong agenda for developing Multilateral Cooperation for Regional Stability and Security is taking place in Islamabad, Pakistan on 15 – 16 October. This meeting will gather Council Heads of Government (CHG) of the member states to discuss major concerns regarding regional Peace and Economic Sustainability. As the current Chair of the CHG, Prime Minister of Pakistan will preside over the upcoming CHG meeting.

Further, SCO members States will be represented by the Prime Minister of China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as the First Vice President of Iran, and External Affair Minister of India. Prime Minister of Mongolia (Observer State), and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister Turkmenistan (Special Guest) will also participate in the meeting.

Along, The Prime Minister will also hold important bilateral meetings with visiting Heads of Delegation on the sidelines of this meeting.

The CHG meeting will discuss ongoing cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, environment, socio-cultural linkages and review the performance of the Organization. Moreover, the leaders will adopt crucial organizational decisions to further enhance cooperation among SCO member States and approve the budget of the Organization.

With this initiative Asia look forward for a new Era of Peace with healthy cross-borders relations, preserving our History and Culture, Regulating Economic and Trade, bringing prosperity among nations, along with a Sustainable Environment and Infrastructure.
