Islamabad: In a landmark visit that underscored diplomatic ties and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity, Nader Al Turk, Counselor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the State of Palestine, made his way to Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. His journey was marked by a warm reception from the Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industries, led by its President, Mr. Sajjad Sarwar, and other esteemed members of the chamber. This gathering served as a platform for dialogue, fostering mutual understanding and exploring avenues for collaboration between the two nations.

During his visit, Mr. Al Turk brought to light the current situation in Palestine, emphasizing the challenges faced by the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing conflict. He highlighted Israel’s intentions to displace Palestinians and expand their territory, describing these actions as part of a larger scheme aimed at undermining the Palestinian cause. The Deputy Head of Mission spoke passionately about the plight of the people in the Gaza Strip, a region devastated by war and suffering under the weight of Israeli aggression.

Mr. Al Turk expressed the Palestinian government’s desire to establish an integrated field hospital to cater to the medical needs of the injured and sick, who have been severely affected by the destruction of hospitals and the blockade on essential medical supplies by Israel.

The visit also saw discussions on broader themes of cooperation between Palestine and Pakistan. Mr. Al Turk outlined a vision that extends beyond immediate relief efforts, envisioning a future where Palestine and Pakistan collaborate closely in trade, economics, and cultural exchanges. He spoke of the potential to bring Palestine closer to Pakistan and vice versa, creating a bridge of friendship and mutual support that could pave the way for a brighter future for both nations.
