Islamabad:  A landmark assembly convened by the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) echoed through the halls of Karachi, Sindh, as essential stakeholders converged to deliberate on the urgent matter of education and literacy within the province. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique, the esteemed Minister of Federal Education & Professional Training, assumed the mantle of leadership, guiding the discussions with unwavering resolve.

The gathering witnessed the esteemed presence of key figures from the NCHD provincial team, including the distinguished Madam Humaira Hashmi, Director of Operations; the dynamic Mr. Humza Khan Lashari, Deputy Director of Literacy; the proactive Mr. Sajjad Ali Memon, Deputy Director of Education; and the diligent Mr. Atta Hussain Dahri, Assistant Director of Education. Their collective expertise and unwavering commitment infused the meeting with unparalleled significance.

In his inaugural address, Minister Siddique not only expressed gratitude for the warm reception but also underscored the critical importance of collaborative efforts. He paid tribute to the relentless endeavors of the NCHD in spearheading educational and literacy initiatives across Sindh. The discussions revolved around the remarkable strides achieved by the NCHD and charted strategic pathways for the future.

This assembly served as a pivotal juncture for collaboration between the NCHD and the Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training. Both entities reasserted their unwavering dedication to enhancing educational access and fostering literacy in the region. Such engagements, as highlighted by the staggering statistics shared by the Pakistan Institute of Education (PIE), emphasize the urgent need for a unified approach to tackle the enrollment challenge facing 26.2 million Out-of-School Children (OOSC) nationwide. These collaborative efforts are not merely symbolic but imperative in reshaping the educational landscape and securing a brighter future for generations to come.
