Karachi: The Opening Ceremony and Media Brief of 13th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Open Golf Championship was held today at Karachi Golf Club (KGC). Commander Karachi, Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem graced the occasion as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the championship. During the ceremony, President Services Sports Control Board, Rear Admiral Abdul Basit apprised on significance of the championship scheduled from 09 to 12 Dec 23 and its conduct in various categories.
This year the Golf Championship will be played in professionals, senior professionals, junior professionals, amateurs, seniors, ladies and juniors categories. Such events provide a unique opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s positive image to the world as a sports loving nation. This also helps to generate healthy activities in the society. Regular conduct of this event is the manifestation of PN’s commitment towards the promotion of golf at national and international levels.
The Opening Ceremony was attended by civil & military dignitaries, sponsors, golf players and media representatives.
