Pakistan to Boost Bilateral Cultural Relations with Kyrgyzstan: Jamal Shah

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Culture and heritage Jamal Shah has said that Pakistan wanted to boost its cultural and bilateral relations with all of the central Asian republics, particularly Kirghizstan as Pakistan has special attachments with all these countries.        Photos by Raja Farid

Pakistan to Boost Bilateral Cultural Relations with Kyrgyzstan: Jamal ShahJamal Shah said this while addressing an event in the context of the 32nd Anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic. Federal Minister Jamal Shah was the Chief guest on the occasion.The event  where ambassadors & High Commissioners of different countries, bureaucrats, high-ranking military personnel, media groups and people from other walks of life participated. In his address, Jamal Shah further said that Pakistan greatly valued relations with Kyrgyzstan, adding that there was a huge scope between the two countries with cultural activities.

The minister said that Kyrgyzstan is pursuing sustainable development goals, implementing significant reforms, and taking steps for growth in all spheres.

Expressing his views, he said that Kyrgyzstan is comparatively a young country, but the history of the Kyrgyz nation lasts for more than 3000 years.

He said that today, Kyrgyzstan is an actively developing state that intends to build strong interconnections with its foreign traders, create a stable and prosperous economy, and grow its value in the international arena.

The minister said that Kyrgyzstan is actively developing a project on construction of a railway connection “China- Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan”. This initiative will contribute to the increase of the level of connectivity in our region.

Highlighting the achievements of Pakistan in different sectors, Jamal Shah said that Islamabad is following the path of multifaceted foreign policy aimed at developing mutually beneficial relations with all its international partners.

He went on to say Pakistan is interested in building fruitful partnerships with all nations, especially in terms of people-to-people contacts, as well as cultural and humanitarian linkages.

The minister said that Pakistan is looking forward to the broad implementation of new technologies, developing clean energy projects, and building modern touristic infrastructure.

He added that Pakistan is rich in mineral resources and has vast potential in terms of hydropower. “There are numerous opportunities for construction of all types of hydropower stations in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, I call the Pakistani business community to look more precisely into the energy sector investment projects”, he said.

Describing the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, Jamal Shah said that the relations between the two countries are described as friendly and also have a rich history and many things in common from the perspective of religion, culture, language, and traditions.

He said that for the last years, both sides have organized a significant number of visits on different levels, and are actively cooperating within the framework of various regional and international organizations.

He Said Kyrgyzstan is a comparatively young country, but the history of the Kyrgyz nation lasts for more than 3000 years. Our nation within this long period has achieved lots of successes, as well as periods of decline. As one of the most outstanding of them, I can point out the creation of the great Kyrgyz Khaganate.

Today Kyrgyzstan is an actively developing state, which is intending to build strong interconnections with its foreign partners, create a stable and prosperous economy and grow its value on the international arena. The legislation of my country is being permanently modernized, we are adopting new initiatives and actively implementing digital technologies in all spheres in order to grow the efficiency of all interstate processes.

The Ambassador said My country is following the path of multivector foreign policy, aimed to develop mutually beneficial relations with all its international partners. We are interested in building fruitful partnerships with all nations, especially in terms of people-to-people contacts, as well as cultural and humanitarian linkages.

Nowadays we are looking forward to the broad implementation of new technologies, developing clean energy projects and building modern touristic infrastructure. As an example, I can bring the project “Asman” – an extra-modern touristic city on the coast of the beautiful lake Issyk-Kul. You all were witnesses of the promo video about this project.

This initiative will contribute to the increase of the level of connectivity in our region.

Our country is rich in mineral resources and has vast potential in terms of hydropower. In this context, I stress on the importance of “CASA-1000” energy project which is designed to export surplus electricity from Central to South Asia.

There are numerous opportunities for construction of all types of hydropower stations in Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, I call the Pakistani business community to look more precisely into the energy sector investment projects.

Representatives of more than eighty nationalities live in peace and harmony in Kyrgyzstan. The most important wealth of our freedom-loving people is our unity.

About Pakistan he said that  Kyrgyz people are looking forward to strengthening ties with brotherly people of Pakistan, taking into account deep common history, single religion and numerous cultural similarities.

End of the speech the Ambassador said   “I am confident that by our joint efforts, we can build a prosperous and developed region for the future of our nations. On this solemn occasion, I extend my warm felicitations to people of Kyrgyzstan, as well as wish prosperity, well being and much success to the brotherly people of Pakistan.”
