The fact of corruption is always existed, but in the recent times, its awareness has grown to international level. As we can see around, today’s world is caught up in turbulence, chaos, disorder. Treachery have housed in the minds, & avarice have blackened the hearts. People here & there are running after lust & material gains, & in doing so they went ignorant about the moral & ethical values. This is to say that a corrupt man destroys people’s trust in this regard he can be held illegible for spreading of negativity & mistrust in the society at large.

Given that corruption & dishonesty are a cause of great concern. For coping with this evil of society, there have been numerous strategies undertaken, but the best could be to remove it from ground level, & precautions should be adopted instead of measures. In is context, researchers & knowledge gurus around the globe are of an opinion of inclusion of the subject of “Philosophy” in the management academia, so that the roots of ethics & doing justice may embed in the minds of student, who will be the future decision makers.

Since philosophy examines rationally the fundamental problems affecting man & the world in which he lives, it can contribute significantly in the fight against immorality & corruption particularly by addressing the phenomenon of corruption from a moral point of view given the fact that corruption & dishonesty is primarily an ethical or moral problem. This is to say that ethics deals with questions of morality- what is right & wrong in human relations. In other words, ethics is the philosophical study of morality & therefore am of the view that the impact of corruption & immorality have very serious ethical implications. Because ethical reflection illuminates an individual’s sense of right & wrong, because in contemporary society there is a loss of sense of values that has obscured one’s dimension of life which alone defines us as human-the ethical capacity for evaluating our conduct, therefore ethical awareness becomes a necessary condition in the fight against corruption as ethical awareness is the necessary condition for human survival & flourishing.

That is why here am shedding light on how philosophy can help in alleviating corruption by placing emphasis on the fundamental role of ethics. We can eradicate corruption completely by inculcating the subject of “Philosophy” in management academia which would aid in building sound ethical moral values and by adopting an ethical culture.
