Pakistan observed October 27 as ”Black Day" for solidarity with Kashmiris

Islamabad : India’s occupation of Kashmir is utterly oppressive and cruel which Kashmir has never accepted. The Kashmiri people have been fighting for independence for the last 73 years against the Indian occupation. India cannot keep Kashmiris as slaves by force.

The independence movement will not end through oppression and tyranny. Inshallah, Kashmiris will continue to achieve their goal of independence. These views were expressed by the speakers while addressing a protest rally in front of the UNO office organized by the All Party Hurriyat Conference on the occasion of Black Day.

Senior leader of All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, President Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat, Sweet Home Chairman Zamrud Khan, Hurriyat Conference leaders Faiz Naqshbandi, Syed Yusuf Naseem, Pervez Advocate, Sheikh Abdul Matin, Abdul Majeed Malik, Zahid Sufi, Engineer Mushtaq Mahmood, Rafiq Dar, Director General Kashmir Liberation Cell Fida Hussain Kayani, Sarwar Gilgiti and Other leaders addressed.

Addressing the protest, Mohammad Farooq Rahmani, senior leader of the APHC, said that India is the world’s terrorist country which has forcibly occupied Kashmir and deprived it of democratic and human freedoms. Seventy-seven years have passed since the United Nations failed to implement its resolutions on Kashmir. The dream of peace in the region cannot be embarrassing without giving Kashmiris the right to freedom.

Addressing the protest, Altaf Ahmed Bhat, President, Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (J&KSM), said that Kashmiris have made an everlasting story of sacrifices in their struggle against the aggressive occupation of India. Even today, the Hurriyat leadership is under arrest.

Altaf Ahmed Bhat added that, The people will continue their struggle against the aggressive occupation of India till the end. India’s occupation of Kashmir is the worst form of terrorism in the world. He said that India had illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on October 27, 1947, against the wishes of Kashmiris. India oppresses Kashmiris for 7 decades, the international community stops human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

President JKSM said that, India still maintains its aggressive and coercive domination over occupied Kashmir and considers Kashmiris subjugated. Since August 5, 2019, 8 million Kashmiris have been besieged. And in violation of all international law, UN resolutions and human rights, Occupied Kashmir has been turned into a human cage.
A number of Kashmiri political leaders have been locked up in jails or locked up in their homes. Massacres, rape of women and mass graves continue unabated in occupied Kashmir.

India has to give rights to Kashmiris under UN resolution, we want peace. For peace, Kashmiris have to give up their right to self-determination. Today marks a dark chapter in human history. India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is an international dispute. Bhat added.

Chairman Sweet Home Zamrud Khan said that the Kashmir issue is a matter of life and death of 1.5 crore Kashmiris and their right to self-determination which has been recognized by the United Nations, India and Pakistan in the form of Security Council resolutions. India is conspiring to turn the Muslim majority into a minority in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and wants to change the population ratio by issuing domiciles to non-Kashmiris in the Occupied Territories but the Kashmiri people will never allow India to succeed in its nefarious intentions.

APHC leader Sheikh Abdul Mateen said that October 27, 1947, was declared as the darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir when Indian forces forcibly entered Kashmir and forcibly occupied the land depriving the Kashmiris of their freedom and all democratic rights. And all sorts of cruel tactics are being used to suppress Kashmiris’ struggle for independence.

The prominent participants included Aqeel Ahmad Tareen, Mushtaq Ahmad Askari, Malik Azhar Mahmood, Nabila Irshad, Saeed Baig, Raja Bashir Usmani, Najib Abdul Ghafoor, Qari Amjad, Raja Imtiaz, Ashfaq Majeed Mir, Shamim Shaal, Ishtiaq Hameed, Imtiazwani, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob, Raja Shaheen, Hassan Al-Banna, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Gulshan Ahmed, Syed Mushtaq, Zahid Ashraf, Nisar Mirza, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Daud Khan, Nazir Karnai, Saleem Haroon, Muzaffar Shah, Raja Muhammad Afsar and other leaders and workers of various political and social organizations and the children of Sweet Home participated.
