The Ministry of Innovations awards certificates of funding to the heads of 61 research projectsTashkent, Uzbekistan : The Ministry of Innovative Development held a ceremony for awarding certificates to the winners of competitions announced within the framework of state programs for scientific activities.

According to the results of the competition, a total of 61 projects in 13 disciplines were recommended for funding, including 45 applied, 11 innovative, 3 start-ups and 2 development projects for a total of 65.9 billion soums.

First Deputy Minister of Innovative Development Shahlo Turdikulova presented certificates to the project managers. In her speech, she expressed the hope that scientists will make the most of the opportunities provided and create the necessary scientific developments for the country’s economy and social sphere.

The contests were organized in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 133 dated 03/09/2020, taking into account the state order for the implementation of research work, substantiated proposals of state administration bodies, business associations and local authorities, as well as priority areas for the development of science and technologies, existing problems of economic and social sectors.

In particular, 7 projects in the field of pharmacology and pharmaceuticals, including 5 applied, 1 innovative and 1 start-up project with a total funding of 8.2 billion soums;

5 applied projects in the field of medical sciences with a total funding of 4.9 billion soums;

3 projects in philology, pedagogy and psychology, including 2 innovative, 1 applied project with a total funding of 3.4 billion soums;

6 projects in the field of technical sciences, including 2 experimental design, 2 start-ups, 1 applied and 1 innovative project with a total funding of 6.4 billion soums;

7 projects in the field of economics and law, including 5 applied, 1 target, 1 innovative project with a total funding of 5.1 billion soums;

8 projects in the field of chemical technologies and nanotechnologies, including 6 applied, 2 innovative projects with a total funding of 7.7 billion soums;

12 projects in the field of agriculture, veterinary medicine and environmental protection, including 10 applied, 2 innovative projects totaling 15.3 billion soums;

1 applied project in mathematical, physical and mechanical sciences with funding of 1.5 billion soums;

1 applied project on history and social sciences worth 1.0 billion soums;

1 applied project in chemical sciences worth 1.2 billion soums;

2 applied projects on earth sciences with a total funding of 2.1 billion soums;

3 projects in the field of informatization and ICT development, including 2 applied, 1 innovative project with a total funding of 2.8 billion soums;

Five applied projects developed by Uzstroymaterialy-LITI have been recommended for funding for a total of 4.7 billion soums
