Saad Khattak said this new political party aimed to bring forward people from ‘Àam Awam’ to top leadership positions. He said generally, Pakistan’s political parties are dominated by feudal and business elite which only use the middle and lower-middle-class majority as a ladder to attain political clout and then only bolster their empires rather than working for the sake of common people and the country. He added that the Pakistan Aam Admi Party will change this culture and a common person would also get the top slot and this would happen for the first time in Pakistan’s political history.

In response to a question, he said “Our struggle will be based on mobilizing people at the grassroots level both in the rural and urban centers across the country. Beginning with empowering people at the local bodies level we intend to move upward to national politics where we shall be bringing forward people of character, integrity, and merit preferring candidates from the middle and lower-middle class”. He said new faces will be introduced while tested and declared corrupt will be rejected regardless of their social and financial status”.

He said that the Aam Aadmi Party   will also struggle for establishing a true Islamic welfare state with civil supremacy, ensuring the unity, integrity, and solidarity of Pakistan so that genuine leadership can emerge from within the middle class. Regarding foreign policy, Major General (R) Saad Khattak said that we will formulate and follow a foreign policy that truly represents the dignity of a country of 22 crores endowed  with natural and human resources.
