Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, nominated Executive and Presidential Candidate by ICCI Founder Group, hosted a dinner in honor of members. The dinner was well attended by the business and industrial community from across the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Presidential Candidate of the Founder Group for ICCI, said that he would not move the chamber in the traditional way after winning the elections but he would take measures that would help Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in recognizing it at globally. He said that being located in Federal Capital, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has aeasy access to the Government and he will try to take full advantage of this unique position. He also introduced himself in detail and told the members, how he succeeded in business.
Mian Akram Farid, Chairman, ICCI Founder Group, while expressing his views on the occasion said that at the time of its inception, the Chamber was in two rooms in Blue Area, Islamabad. However, he said that due to efforts of senior members now Chamber has own four-storey building and a state-of-the-art 9-storey display center. He said that very few chambers in Pakistan that have their own buildings. He said Islamabad Chamber has been made the number one institution in Pakistan.
Muhammad Ejaz Abbasi, former President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Founder Group Election Campaign, introduced the nominees from Associate Class and Corporate Class of Founder Group and appealed to all members to come Chamber on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 9:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m along with their ID cards to poll their votes to make the Founder Group successful.
Ajmal Baloch, President of the All Pakistan Traders Association and Traders Action Committee said the Founder Group is the representative of the business community from across Islamabad and by the grace of the Allah Almighty the Founder Group would continue its tradition of overwhelming victory.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Chairman Punjab Board of Investment, FPCCI Presidents Zubair Ahmad Malik and Abdul Rauf, Zafar Bakhtawari, Khalid Iqbal Malik, Nasir Qureshi, Mian Shaukat Masood, Ahmad Hassan Mughal, Chaudhry Waheed-ud-Din, Khalid Javed were also present on the occasion. Hundreds of members besides Khalid Mehmood Chaudhry, former presidents, senior vice presidents and vice presidents attended the dinner.
