Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Russia’s Avtovaz plans to launch an assembly from Lada and Renault car components in Uzbekistan within 12 months. This was reported by TASS with reference to the President of the company Nicolas Maure.
Nicolas Maure noted that a smart way to develop your presence in this market is to work with a local partner who would assemble from car kits.
He noted that the company has a local partner in Uzbekistan. The parties intend to launch assembly operations in Uzbekistan in the next 12 months.
According to the company’s plans, the assembly of Lada models and later Renault models will be organized first.
According to Mora, the market share in Uzbekistan will remain quite small “due to the still presence and operation of UzAuto in the local market.”
