PASTIC and PITC signed MoUIslamabad :Pakistan Innovation & Testing Centre (PITC) has been established under PEC to prepare standards for PSQCA and conducting tests/trials, performance validation of EM devices and engineering goods to develop local manufacturing industry. While PASTIC a subsidiary of Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) is committed to serve the nation’s ever-growing information needs through development of a National S&T Hub/Data Centre thereby acting as clearing house for all S&T information produced in Pakistan.

PASTIC and PITC joined hands to extend the mutual cooperation toward strengthening of the national information resources and to promote research, innovation and indigenous product development for socio economic development of country. Both organizations signed a memorandum of understanding for potential collaboration by facilitating in areas of combined growth for their beneficiaries at PSF, Islamabad on May 27, 2021.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh, Director General PASTIC and Engr. Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan, Secretary/ Registrar PEC signed the MoU in a ceremony held at PSF. Senior officials of PASTIC, PSF, PMNH and PEC attended this ceremony. 

Chairman, Pakistan Science Foundation, Prof Dr. Shahid Mahmood Baig appreciated this initiative of joint collaboration for socio economic development of country. While addressing Director General, PASTIC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Shaikh said that both the organization will share their expertise for serving the innovators, researchers, industrialists, academia (faculty and students). Engr. Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan hoped that this mutual collaboration will extend the serving potential of both the organizations.
