Haleeb Foods partners with Kőröstej Ltd. at Pakistan-Hungary business meetinpgLahore – May 28, 2020: Haleeb Foods Limited the pioneer dairy and beverages processor in Pakistan have inked an agreement with Kőröstej Ltd. – Hungary’s leading cheese producer. This collaboration is made in order to introduce world class cheese varieties in local market. HFL plans to take advantage from the rich legacy of Kőröstej since they are one of the leading European producer and exporter of over 160 varieties of cheese. This partnership in addition to creating a healthy competition amongst the local players shall definitely provide consumers with rich choices.

In this regard, a MoU was signed in Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad. Syed Mazher Iqbal, CEO Haleeb Foods and Dr. Riad Naboulsi. MD/ CEO Kőröstej Limited signed the MoU on cooperation in presence of Foreign Ministers of both the countries.

Sharing his views on this collaboration, Syed Mazher Iqbal said “We were in contact with our counterparts since a long time now and are excited to enter in to this very well thought of collaboration. HFL is a household name since decades offering superior quality dairy and beverage products in the country. We find it the right time to enter in to a segment of value added products to cater to the ever increasing needs of Pakistani consumer. We are currently working on the right mix to be introduced in the market, which can reduce reliance on otherwise very expensive imported products. Taking advantage of our partners experience coupled with global presence, we are very confident to serve the consumers from domestic to food services.”

Dr. Riad (MD/CEO Kőröstej Ltd.) talking on the occasion stated, “We are a leading cheese producer of Hungary having a sizeable exports footprint both in EU and Middle Eastern market. In order to expand and tap the Pakistani market, we look forward to working very closely with Haleeb Foods, a household name in Pakistan, to introduce new and innovative cheese products. We are very happy on signing the MoU with a renowned dairy producer of Pakistan, which definitely is going to put us at an advantage along the way.”
