 LAHORE, 30 March 2021: The National Transmission and Despatch Company Ltd (NTDC) has energized 130 km long 220 kV double circuit transmission line from Jamshoro to KDA-33 (Karachi) after necessary trial/ testing.

The spokesman of NTDC has said that the transmission line was upgraded before the given deadline. The completion of this transmission infrastructure shall result in the increase of 450 MW power supply from national grid to the KE power network during summers once load demand is high. Consequently, it shall result in reduction of load shedding in Karachi.
