Cholpon-Ata: On the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, Kazakhstan\u2019s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev met with Pakistan\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar.<\/p>\n
Both sides reaffirmed strong political ties and focused on boosting trade and economic cooperation. Key areas discussed included joint projects, improved transport and logistics links, and practical steps to reach the Heads of State\u2019s target of USD 1 billion in bilateral trade.<\/p>\n
The ministers exchanged views on regional and global issues and pledged to deepen collaboration within the UN, SCO, OIC, and CICA.<\/p>\n
Kazakhstan expressed appreciation for Pakistan\u2019s support for President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev\u2019s initiative to establish an International Water Organization for sustainable water resource management.<\/p>\n
