Rawalpindi: Pakistan and Ghana have agreed to strengthen military-to-military relations and expand defence cooperation, with a focus on joint training, counter-terrorism and defence production, the military said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, Chief of Defence Staff of the Republic of Ghana, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n

Upon his arrival, the visiting dignitary was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation. They agreed to further strengthen military ties and enhance collaboration in key areas, including joint training programmes, counter-terrorism efforts and defence production.<\/p>\n
