This year\u2019s competition was the largest in its history, attracting over 220,000 students and faculty members from more than 2,000 institutions across 100+ countries and regions. A total of 49 countries and over 175 teams competed in the global finals. From Pakistan, around 12,000 students registered for the competition. After multiple rounds of rigorous national and regional examinations, three teams\u2014each comprising three students and one instructor\u2014qualified to represent Pakistan at the global stage.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan celebrated a major achievement as Muhammad Rashid Mukhtar from COMSATS University Islamabad won the Grand Prize in the Huawei ICT Teaching Competition. He was also honored with the prestigious Most Valuable Instructor Award, recognizing his exceptional teaching excellence and contribution to ICT education. In the Practice &amp; Innovation tracks, the Pakistan Computing Track Team secured the Second Prize, awarded by H.E. Mr. Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to China. The team included Nauman Sajjad from Lahore Garrison University, Adeeba Mubarak from the University of Engineering &amp; Technology Taxila, and Hira Khurshid from COMSATS University Islamabad (Abbottabad Campus), led by Instructor Farman Ullah.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistan Network Track Team earned the Third Prize, awarded by Syed Sohail Hussain Naqvi. The team consisted of Navera and Inamullah from Mehran University of Engineering &amp; Technology Jamshoro, and Muhammad Nouman Khan from Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam, under the supervision of Instructor Saqib Hussain from Mehran University of Engineering &amp; Technology Jamshoro. The Pakistan Innovation Track Team also secured the Third Prize, awarded by Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq, Executive Director of HEC. Mr. Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to China, attended the closing ceremony and awarded medals to the winning students. He commended their dedication and applauded Huawei\u2019s continued efforts to empower young talent through global learning opportunities. Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq, Executive Director of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), also participated in the ceremony. He praised Huawei for providing a world-class platform that enables Pakistani students to compete internationally and showcase their skills on a global stage.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Bilal Masud CEO AI and Cloud Business Huawei Pakistan also expressed his appreciation for the students\u2019 achievements, stating that Pakistan\u2019s performance at the global finals reflects the country\u2019s growing strength in the ICT sector and the remarkable potential of its youth. He emphasized that such international platforms not only highlight the talent of Pakistani students but also inspire thousands more to pursue excellence in technology and innovation.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan\u2019s strong performance across the Teaching, Computing, Network, and Innovation tracks reflects the country\u2019s growing ICT capabilities and the dedication of its students, instructors, and institutions.
