Rawalpind:Investiture Ceremony to confer military awards to officers and soldiers of Pakistan Army was held today at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, COAS & CDF as the chief guest conferred the awards to the families of shuhada, officers and soilders in recognition of exceptional gallantry in operations and distinguished services rendered to the nation.<\/p>\n

\"\"Decorations conferred included 50 Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and 12 Tamgha-i-Basalat. Medals awarded posthumously were received with honour by families of Shuhada.<\/p>\n

Paying tribute to the Shuhada and Ghazis, the Field Marshal stated “Shuhada and Ghazis remain the enduring pride of the nation. Their honour and sacrifice are a sacred trust for every Pakistani. Peace and security of our motherland are owed to their supreme sacrifices and unwavering devotion to duty.\u201d<\/p>\n
