Family gatherings are where love, laughs and a little bit of drama all come together. At the heart of it all are the Aunties. They are the glue, the shade throwers, the truth-tellers, the future tellers and sometimes the life of the party who bring personality, heart and a little spice to every family function.
However, I am talking about the next level Aunties, the Social Aunties. Since, they bypass all the codes, all the boundaries, peeking from their rooftops into the routine of everybody.
Moreover, you don’t need to find them in the only family gatherings, as they’re like the uninterrupted Free WiFi network that finds you everywhere.Spokesman
Well I have a little sympathy for them too, since they are the victims of their own failures, which led them to seek refuge in correcting everyone.
This Social Aunty can be anyone, starting from your mothers sister, who’s daughter might have run away but she can proof she still have a successful marriage bureau, a retired professor who’s not done enough with dictating other, your neighbour who’s husband might have taken a second wife but you can still find her diary in loaded with tips of staying young for lifetime…,etc.
Well, you can recognise her in a few minutes with her big smiles,seeking every kind of personal information, showering tons of advice and long farewell prayers.
I meet a couple of them in life, who don’t have control over their own children but are trying to control the world, who are emotionally empty from inside and buy love even via charity. Who’re always ready with tips of every kind of family affairs, love and compassion however ironically their own husbands stay miles away from even their shadow.
The reason I found behind all this, hiding somewhere in their past, when they were busy with their careers or youthful days, while ignoring the immediate family. Time is very selfish, it never waits for anyone, in the neglected garden, weeds take space of flowers.
